Making dreams come true…

Every mother has a dream or two, but not all really sure how to make them come true! Today, I will be talking about a few pointers on how to make that dream, goal or vision a reality in the midst of motherhood. Taking the wisdom of some tried and tested methods, as well as a few of my own, this post should give you that little kick up the rear end and shift those dormant gears into moving, so that you can be on your way to seeing what you have been dreaming. So lets go!

A key essential in bringing cohesion and order to the confusion that dreams sometimes bring. Ever had an idea or a vision and wanted to bring it to life so badly? Yeah, me too! I am sure you have had all sorts of thoughts and plans on how to bring the vision to life, but it all seemed to be a big jumble, often not making sense. This is where planning comes in. Take some time to sit down with a notebook or even a piece of paper and brainstorm. Once you have all your plans, ideas and thoughts on paper, it is a lot easier to see order in the midst of chaos. Then you will be able to see with a clearer mind how to create a plan that you can then go on to execute and make that dream a reality.

Practice makes perfect

This saying rings true, even in today’s world where it has become so easy to ‘fake it, till you make it.’ If you are anything like me (a mum with young children), then I am very sure you understand the struggle to find a peaceful moment to practice your skill(s) pertaining to your dream. However, being persistent and making the time, even if for an hour a few times during the week to practice your skill(s), will definitely put you on the road to success. Nothing worth having comes easy and we have to work hard for what we want in life and business. Finding a time that works for you and maximising that time to its full potential with practice, will definitely pay off in the long run.

Believing in yourself is very important in realising your dreams and for me, having faith in God is just as important, if not even more important. I believe our visions and dreams are seeds planted in our hearts, which God wants us to bring to life. To be able to carry out the task set before us, we need to believe in ourselves, believe in the talents that have been given to us and believe in the dream itself. Without the belief and having faith that the dream will one day come into full realisation, it becomes very easy to loose sight of why you started in the first place. It becomes hard to see beyond what is in front of you even if you are working towards making little steps, but we are told that faith without works is dead (James 2:20). If we have faith, believe in the dream and work hard, then there is nothing stopping that dream from becoming your reality!

Those are a few pointers that I use to keep me going in making my dream a reality and hopefully you can take something from them, even if it is one thing and start working to make your dreams come true too. Remember, when you believe it, you will see it.

Until next time,

Ohemaa Beauty xoxo
